I was always HER

Everything you see with your eyes of faith, you already are.
I was already this woman I’m becoming,
but I had to be awakened.

I had to rise,
 through fire,
 through questions with no answers,
through nights where only faith whispered back.
There was a time,
 when the weight was heavy,
 and I kept asking:
 Why me?
 Why this pain?
 Why now?
But even then,
a still small voice whispered:
 “Have faith.
 Be patient.”

‍

‍
Although, I was in pain
The desire to help other women
kept burning through my trials —
 and I wondered why.
Why can’t I just focus on me?
But now I know.
I had to walk the path
so I could light the way.
I had to quiet my storms
 so I could teach peace.
 I had to heal
so I could be a healing.
I was called.
That’s why.

This poem came to me when I realized something deeply transformative: the woman I was striving to become had always been within me. I understood that my story was not a mistake to fix, but a strength to honor. Every challenge, every doubt, every moment I once feared was given to me for a greater reason: to shape me… so that today, I can guide you. I invite you to read this poem in the first person. Because the woman you admire, the one you hope to become… you already are.
